FAQ

A few things worth knowing.

Does Side A play or import music?

On iPhone, Side A plays music through its Apple Music connection. On Android, playback stays in your compatible music app. Side A does not import audio files or provide a separate streaming catalog.

Does it work with every music app?

No. Compatibility and available controls depend on the media session and controls exposed by each app.

What does the screen-rest timer do?

It can dim or hide the cassette after a chosen time. It does not lock your phone or guarantee protection against screen burn-in.

Is Side A available on iPhone?

The iPhone version connects to Apple Music and includes an album and playlist shelf. It is currently under review by Apple. We will share the public download link when approved.

Does Side A collect analytics or require an account?

You do not need a separate Side A account. Tape preferences are saved on your device. The current version has no ads or analytics. Optional one-time support uses the phone store and RevenueCat to process and restore purchases; availability depends on the build. Apple Music uses your Apple account.
